The NSU Optometry Clinic moved to its current facility in 1999. The facility the clinic is now housed in was formerly the Indian Health Service Hospital. The hospital was built in 1936 and included what is now the administration wing as well as the optometry clinic.
The building was expanded extensively to house two lecture halls and an auditorium so the entire college of optometry could be moved to its new location on campus in 1999. Scope of Service:
Ophthalmic laser technology, a surgical suite and state of the art diagnostic equipment are housed in this facility. Services include pediatric optometry, infant vision and visual therapy. The clinic has a contact lens wing for fitting the newest innovations in contact lenses including contact lenses needed for disease management. Low Vision services for the visually impaired are also provided at this clinic. Referral services for more advanced diagnostic and treatment services are also conducted at this location Hours of Operation:
