The Vinita Health Clinic opened its doors for service in 2001. In September of 2012, construction was completed on a new facility and relocated near the Will Rogers Turnpike. The Cherokee Nation Vinita Health Center is the second largest center in the Cherokee Nation Health System and the first to offer an on-site Wellness Workout Center and Dexa Scanning.
The new center is located on 23 acres of land across from the Craig County fairgrounds. The facility is adorned with original Cherokee art and lithographs depicting characters and events spanning the time of the Civil War and how it affected the families of the Cherokee Nation. Scope of Service:
Medical, pediatrics, patient benefit services, contract health services, behavioral health, public health nursing, women infants and children (WIC), career services, dietary services, wellness center, nutrition services, physical therapy, dental, optometry, radiology, mammography, x-ray, laboratory, bone-density, ultrasound, pharmacy with mail-order and drive-through services, health promotion and disease prevention.
