NSUOCO has residency opportunities in Primary Care, Ocular Disease, and Cornea & Contact Lenses with emphases in Ocular Disease, Refractive & Ocular Surgery, and Low Vision Rehabilitation.

Residency sponsors include the Oklahoma College of Optometry, referral/surgery centers, private clinics, Veterans Affairs Medical Centers and the U.S. Army. Programs are located in Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, and North Carolina.

Meet the NSUOCO Residency Director

Dr. Carolyn Majcher is a strong and experienced educator well known in the optometric community as an expert in OCT, OCT angiography, and retinal disease. She a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the Optometric Retina Society. Dr. Majcher routinely lectures nationally at the American Academy of Optometry and has presented research at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology annual and imaging conferences.

She received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University and completed an ocular disease residency at the Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Following completion of her residency, Dr. Majcher served as Chief of the Retinal Disease Clinic and an Assistant Professor at the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry for 8 years. In 2019 she joined the Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry as an Associate Professor and the Director of Residency Programs.
