Primary Care Clinic

Primary care clinics are located at Pheiffer (CNOHC) and NSU clinics. The Cherokee Nation Outpatient Health Center Eye Clinic schedules adult general eye exams and pediatric (ages 6-18 years) for Native American patients. The general exams scheduled at the NSU clinic are for indigent patients who would not otherwise be able to afford eye care and for patients from within the NSU community. Patient sources for this clinic include referral from the NSU Campus Health Center, Lion’s Club and Job Corps as well as NSU faculty, staff, students and their families. These clinics provide full-scope, comprehensive optometric examination and associated care, including therapy, treatment, counseling, and appropriate management for a vast array of ocular and visual anomalies. Students from years II, III, and IV of the clinical curriculum are eligible for assignment into the various Primary Care clinics.
