Travel Information

  • By Plane
It is easiest to fly into Tulsa, OK. It is about an hour's drive from Tulsa to Tahlequah.
NOTE: There is no public transportation from the airport to Tahlequah, nor is there any available in the city. You will need to rent a car to get to Tahlequah and for travel in the city.
  • By Car
OK-51 through Broken Arrow is the recommended route. This route does have a toll booth. You can use cash or change (change is usually quicker and easier). You can expect to pay $6 or less round-trip.
Set NSU Tahlequah as your destination (Google Maps)
    • If you are having trouble finding the location for the symposium, the best way would be to input
      - "University Center, N Grand Ave, Tahlequah, OK 74464" into your favorite GPS.
      - The formal address is also "600 N. Grand Ave Tahlequah, OK 74464"

      - If you are coming from the bypass: you can turn onto "Craftson St." It is roughly two miles from the bypass - where it eventually splits to where you can go north or south on "Grand Ave." Head south to the University center. It will be on your left! There will be a parking crew that should make it easy to find!

      - If you are coming from South Tahlequah and heading North on Muskogee, you will go all the way through town where the road eventually changes from Muskogee to Grand Ave. The University Center will be on your right. There will be a parking crew that should make it easy to find!

When in doubt, use: 600 N. Grand Ave Tahlequah, OK 74464 as the best address!
